Ikhaya Broilers is raising a R26.0 million total project — R5.2 million of sponsor equity alongside a R14.3 million senior term loan and a R6.5 million blended-finance grant — to establish a start-up commercial broiler enterprise near Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal. Four tunnel-ventilated houses will produce 560,000 birds a year under contract and independent offtake, structured for Land Bank Blended Finance and 100% Black-owned at Level 1 contributor status. Headline revenue and EBITDA are preserved exactly; everything below EBITDA is independently re-derived (component depreciation, full cash interest, 27% SA tax with assessed-loss relief, working capital) with the balance sheet tying to zero every year. This plan sets out the market and industry analysis, disease risk, vaccination and biosecurity, the production model, unit economics, market access and offtake, input supply and procurement, operations and organisation, transformation, community and ESG, the funding structure and use of funds, a capital adequacy review, the implementation programme, competitive positioning, full financial projections, debt-service coverage and break-even, returns and sensitivities, risk analysis and independent findings, the SWOT and strategic analysis, the growth path and exit, and the key performance indicators funders will track. Use the contents below to navigate the plan.
