Sable Grid Storage
Flexibility for a reforming grid — utility-scale battery energy storage
Project Sizanani — 100 MW / 400 MWh four-hour LFP storage · 15-year availability-based capacity agreement · 350 MW follow-on pipeline — Aggeneys · Namakwa District · Northern Cape · South Africa.
Sable Grid Storage is raising R615 million of equity within a R2.05 billion total project cost to develop, build and operate Project Sizanani — a 100 MW / 400 MWh four-hour lithium-iron-phosphate battery energy storage facility near Aggeneys in the Namakwa District, Northern Cape — underpinned by a 15-year availability-based capacity agreement and backed by a 350 MW follow-on pipeline. Headline revenue and EBITDA are preserved exactly; everything below EBITDA is independently re-derived (component depreciation, full cash interest, 27% SA tax with assessed-loss relief, working capital) with the balance sheet tying to zero every year. This plan sets out the market and regulatory environment, market sizing and demand drivers, competitive positioning, the products and revenue model, the flagship asset with its technology and engineering, grid connection and transmission access, offtake strategy and counterparty risk, construction and EPC procurement, operations and asset management, full financial projections, funding and capital structure, returns and sensitivities, risk analysis and independent findings, the SWOT and PESTLE strategic analysis, management, transformation and ESG, and investor returns and exit.
