Ironveld Heritage Beef (Pty) Ltd (“Ironveld” or “the Company”) is a proposed commercial cattle farming enterprise to be established on approximately 1,500 hectares of grazing land near Vryburg, North West Province, South Africa. Vryburg is widely recognised as the “Beef Capital of South Africa” owing to its long history of cattle production, established livestock infrastructure, and favourable natural grazing conditions.

The South African beef industry is a cornerstone of the agricultural economy, with the national herd estimated at approximately 14.1 million cattle and the domestic red meat market valued at over R70 billion annually. Structural demand drivers including population growth (62+ million people), urbanisation, rising middle-class protein consumption, and expanding modern retail channels continue to support long-term demand for quality beef. South Africa remains a net importer of beef, with domestic production consistently falling short of consumption requirements, creating a favourable supply-demand dynamic for commercial beef producers.

Ironveld will operate a commercial cow–calf breeding system, initially establishing a 400-head breeding herd of predominantly Bonsmara and Beefmaster genetics — breeds selected for their adaptability to the semi-arid Kalahari Thornveld conditions, superior maternal traits, and excellent carcass quality. The herd will scale to approximately 880 breeding cows by Year 5, with total herd numbers reaching 1,360 head. Revenue will be generated through four channels: weaner and feeder cattle sales to feedlots, finished cattle supply to abattoirs and meat processors, premium breeding stock sales, and a branded premium beef programme to be launched in Phase 2.

The Company seeks R14.5 million in startup capital to fund land lease and fencing, breeding herd acquisition, farm infrastructure development, vehicles and equipment, working capital, and pre-operational expenses.
