9.3 Fleet Management
The vehicle fleet is the operational backbone of the business. All vehicles will be equipped with GPS tracking, fuel monitoring sensors, and mobile data terminals for driver communication. Route optimisation software will plan daily collection routes to minimise driving distance and maximise collections per shift. Fleet maintenance will follow a preventative maintenance schedule with monthly inspections, quarterly servicing, and annual roadworthiness certification.

Total monthly payroll cost of approximately R900,000 includes basic salary, UIF contributions, SDL levy, and provision for annual increases. Staff numbers will increase to approximately 50 by Year 3 and 65 by Year 5 in line with fleet and geographic expansion.
9.5 Quality and Compliance Management
EcoCycle will implement an Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management). The company will target ISO 14001 certification within 24 months of operations. All waste handling staff will undergo induction training covering waste classification, safe handling procedures, personal protective equipment usage, and emergency response protocols.
