6.1 Product Portfolio
SilverClove Farms will adopt a phased product strategy, beginning with core fresh garlic production and progressively expanding into value-added products as the business matures and market relationships strengthen.
Phase 1: Fresh Garlic Bulbs (Years 1–3)
The primary product will be premium-quality fresh garlic bulbs, graded, cleaned, and packaged for retail and wholesale distribution. Product will be available in multiple packaging formats: loose bulk supply for fresh produce markets and wholesalers (10 kg and 20 kg cartons); retail-ready packs of 3–5 bulbs (200g–500g) for supermarket distribution under both the SilverClove brand and private-label arrangements; and processing-grade supply to food manufacturers in bulk bins.
Phase 2: Value-Added Products (Years 3–5)
From Year 3, the Company will introduce value-added product lines including dried garlic flakes and granules for the spice market, garlic paste in consumer and food-service packaging, and garlic powder for the food manufacturing sector. These products extend shelf life, reduce logistics costs, and capture higher margins through downstream processing.
6.2 Quality Standards
All products will comply with the Directorate of Plant Health (DALRRD) standards for fresh garlic, the South African National Standards (SANS) for food safety, and GLOBALG.A.P. certification for export market access. The Company will implement a comprehensive quality management system from planting through to dispatch, including standardised grading protocols, traceability from field to customer, and regular third-party quality audits.
6.3 Branding Strategy
The SilverClove brand will be positioned as “Premium South African Garlic — Grown with Care, Delivered with Pride.” The brand identity will emphasise provenance (Western Cape terroir), quality (hand-selected, naturally grown), and traceability (farm-to-fork story). Packaging design will incorporate earth tones, clean typography, and clear South African origin markings to differentiate from imported alternatives on retail shelves.
