13.1 Short-Term Growth (Years 1–3)
The Company’s initial growth strategy focuses on establishing production excellence and market presence. Key priorities include ramping production from 50 to 70 planted hectares, securing supply agreements with at least three major retail chains, establishing export channels into two or more SADC markets, and achieving GLOBALG.A.P. certification to enable premium market access.
13.2 Medium-Term Growth (Years 3–5)
Medium-term growth will be driven by production expansion, value-added product development, and market diversification. The Company plans to expand cultivated area to 120 hectares (requiring an additional R8 million capital investment), launch value-added garlic products including dried flakes, paste, and powder, establish premium export channels into select European markets, and develop the SilverClove brand into a recognised premium South African garlic brand.
13.3 Long-Term Vision (Years 5+)
The long-term vision positions SilverClove Farms as a leading South African garlic producer with a diversified product portfolio and multi-market presence. Strategic options for long-term growth include vertical integration into garlic-based food products, acquisition of additional farmland in complementary climatic zones to extend the production season, development of an organic garlic line targeting premium domestic and export markets, and strategic partnerships with international garlic producers for knowledge transfer and market access.
