2.1 Legal Structure and Registration
NexusShield Digital Insurance (Pty) Ltd is incorporated as a private company under the Companies Act, 2008 (Act No. 71 of 2008), registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) of South Africa. The Company will apply for a short-term insurance licence under the Insurance Act, 2017 (Act No. 18 of 2017), regulated by both the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and the Prudential Authority housed within the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
2.2 Headquarters
The Company’s registered offices and principal place of business will be located in Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. Johannesburg is the commercial and financial capital of South Africa, home to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) secretariat, and the largest concentration of financial technology firms on the continent.
