5.1 Commercial and Industrial Waste Collection

This flagship service provides scheduled and on-demand waste collection for offices, factories, retail centres, warehouses, and industrial parks across the Tshwane metropolitan area. Collection schedules are customised to client needs, with options for daily, bi-weekly, or weekly service. All collections are tracked via GPS-enabled vehicles, and clients receive real-time collection confirmations through the EcoCycle digital platform.

5.2 Recycling and Material Recovery

EcoCycle operates a semi-automated Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) at its Pretoria hub, processing collected waste into recyclable commodities including paper and cardboard, PET and HDPE plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, glass, and organic waste. Recovered materials are sold to offtake partners including paper mills, plastic recyclers, scrap metal dealers, and compost producers. The MRF is designed to achieve a material recovery rate of 35% in Year 1, increasing to 55% by Year 5 as sorting technology and processes are refined.
