5.1 Funeral Service Packages

Eternal Rest offers a tiered range of funeral service packages designed to accommodate diverse client needs and budgets. Each package is fully customisable, with the option to add individual services or products as required.

All packages include the coordination and management of the funeral by a dedicated funeral director, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for the bereaved family.

5.2 Embalming and Preparation Services

Eternal Rest will operate a fully equipped, regulation-compliant embalming and preparation facility staffed by qualified embalmers. Services include professional embalming and body preservation using industry-standard techniques and chemicals; cosmetic preparation and dressing for viewing; reconstructive procedures where required; preparation of remains for long-distance transportation; and temporary refrigerated storage facilities for up to 30 bodies.

All embalming and preparation services will comply with the National Health Act and relevant provincial regulations governing the handling and transportation of human remains.

5.3 Transportation Services

The company will maintain a dedicated fleet of vehicles to ensure professional and reliable transportation services. The fleet will comprise two hearses (one standard, one premium), one family limousine, two body transfer vehicles for hospital and home collections, and one utility vehicle for logistics and deliveries. All vehicles will be maintained to the highest standards and branded with the Eternal Rest corporate identity.

5.4 Pre-Paid and Subscription Funeral Plans

Pre-paid funeral plans represent a strategic pillar of Eternal Rest’s business model, providing both a recurring revenue stream and a pipeline of future service clients. Plans will be offered in three tiers:

Plans will include a 6-month waiting period for natural death claims and a 12-month waiting period for pre-existing conditions, in line with industry norms. Pre-paid plans will be administered in compliance with the Long-Term Insurance Act (through a licensed underwriting partner) or structured as funeral service contracts, depending on the regulatory classification applicable. Legal counsel specialising in insurance regulation will be retained to ensure full compliance.

5.5 Grief Counselling and Support Services

Eternal Rest will offer grief counselling and emotional support services as an integral part of its holistic approach to bereavement care. Services will include individual and family counselling sessions (first session complimentary with all funeral packages); group support programmes and bereavement workshops; referral network with registered psychologists and social workers; memorial anniversary services and remembrance events; and children’s grief support programmes.

The grief counselling programme will be led by Naledi Dlamini, supported by qualified social workers and a network of accredited counselling professionals.

5.6 Coffin, Casket, and Memorial Product Sales

Eternal Rest will maintain a showroom and inventory of coffins, caskets, urns, and memorial products sourced from local manufacturers and select importers. The product range includes standard and premium wooden coffins; metal and designer caskets; cremation urns (ceramic, wood, biodegradable); floral arrangements and wreaths; memorial plaques, headstones, and grave markers; and printed programmes, memory books, and memorial videos. Gross margins on product sales typically range from 40–60%, making this a high-margin revenue stream.
