16.1 Employment Creation

The Company will create approximately 45 permanent jobs and up to 200 seasonal positions during peak harvest. In a region with high unemployment rates, this represents a meaningful contribution to local economic development. Fair wages, safe working conditions, and opportunities for skills development will be central to the Company’s employment practices.

16.2 B-BBEE and Transformation

The Company’s ownership structure, which includes significant black ownership through founding shareholder Mandela Khumalo (40%) and Nokuthula Dlamini (20%), positions it well for a Level 2–3 B-BBEE rating. The Company will further enhance its scorecard through skills development spend, enterprise and supplier development programmes targeting local SMMEs, and socio-economic development contributions.
