6.2 Quality Standards and Certifications

The Company will pursue and maintain the following food safety and quality certifications to meet the requirements of premium retail customers and export markets:

  • GlobalG.A.P. Certification – the globally recognised standard for good agricultural practices, required by all major South African supermarket chains and essential for accessing European export markets.

  • HACCP Certification – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points system ensuring food safety from production through to distribution.

  • South African Fresh Produce Market Standards – compliance with DAFF quality grading and phytosanitary requirements.

  • SIZA (Sustainability Initiative of South Africa) – demonstrating ethical labour practices and environmental sustainability.

6.3 Packaging and Branding

All products will be packaged and marketed under the “FreshLeaf” premium brand, utilising environmentally responsible packaging materials including recyclable PET clamshells, compostable film wraps, and clearly labelled branding that communicates the Company’s sustainable farming credentials. Packaging designs will emphasise the product’s hydroponic origin, freshness, and quality, targeting health-conscious consumers willing to pay a premium for sustainably produced vegetables.
