5.1 Executive Management
Kabelo Mokoena — Managing Director
Mr Mokoena brings over 12 years of experience in commercial farming operations across Limpopo and Mpumalanga. He has successfully managed large-scale vegetable production units, including a 60-hectare tomato and pepper operation near Tzaneen. He holds a B.Agric from the University of Limpopo and an MBA from the University of Pretoria. He is responsible for overall strategic direction, stakeholder engagement, and business development.
Pieter Botha — Agricultural Director
Mr Botha is a specialist in vegetable crop production with over 15 years of field experience. He holds an M.Sc in Crop Science from the University of Stellenbosch and has served as production manager for several commercial farming operations in the Loskop Valley. He is responsible for all agronomic decisions, including variety selection, irrigation scheduling, integrated pest management, and yield optimisation.
Lerato Dlamini — Finance Director
Ms Dlamini is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with over 10 years of experience in agribusiness finance. She previously served as financial manager at a large citrus export company and has worked as a senior associate at a major South African auditing firm. She is responsible for financial planning and reporting, treasury management, investor relations, and regulatory compliance including SARS and CIPC filings.
Stefan van der Merwe — Strategic Investor & Advisory Board Chair
Mr van der Merwe is an experienced investor in agricultural ventures with a portfolio spanning fresh produce, grain, and livestock operations. He has deep expertise in food supply chain logistics and retail relationships. He serves as chair of the advisory board, providing strategic guidance on market positioning, capital structure, and growth planning.
5.2 Key Operational Staff
In addition to the executive team, the farm will employ the following key operational personnel: a Farm Manager responsible for day-to-day field operations and labour supervision; an Irrigation Specialist managing water systems and scheduling; a Packhouse Manager overseeing grading, packing, and cold chain management; a Logistics Coordinator managing transport and market delivery; and an Administrative Officer handling procurement, HR administration, and general office management. Total permanent staff at full capacity is projected at 45 employees, with seasonal labour requirements of up to 180 additional workers during peak harvest periods.
5.3 Organisational Structure
The organisational structure follows a functional hierarchy with clear reporting lines. The Managing Director reports to the Board of Directors and oversees three functional heads: the Agricultural Director (production, irrigation, pest management), the Finance Director (finance, administration, compliance), and the Farm Manager (field operations, labour, logistics). The Packhouse Manager and Logistics Coordinator report to the Farm Manager.
