The milled maize products, the animal feed, the equipment and engineering and the installation, maintenance, spares and training offered by AgriNova.
AgriNova’s offering spans two divisions: a food-processing division
producing milled maize products and animal feed, and an equipment and
services division supplying machinery, installation, maintenance, spare
parts and training. The breadth of the offering is a deliberate
diversification of revenue and margin.
5.1 Milled Maize Products
- Super and special maize meal. The flagship
human-consumption line, sold in retail and wholesale pack sizes through
formal retail, spaza and institutional channels. - Samp and grits. Higher-value coarse products
derived from the same white-maize intake, broadening the food range and
improving overall yield economics. - Maize bran. A milling by-product channelled into
the feed division or sold directly as a feed ingredient, converting
waste into margin.
5.2 Animal Feed
The feed plant produces compound and blended feeds built around
yellow maize and milling by-products, targeting the poultry, pork and
cattle segments that dominate South African feed demand. Feed provides a
counter-cyclical balance to human-consumption milling and a productive
outlet for the bran stream, lifting whole-kernel value capture.
5.3 Equipment & Engineering
The fabrication workshop designs and builds hammer mills, roller
mills, degerminators and ancillary processing equipment for third-party
millers and feed producers. This division earns engineering-grade
margins, smooths the food-division cycle, and establishes AgriNova as a
technology partner rather than a mere commodity supplier.
5.4 Installation, Maintenance, Spares & Training
Around each equipment sale, AgriNova builds an annuity of services:
turnkey installation and commissioning, scheduled and breakdown
maintenance, a spare-parts supply business, and operator and technician
training. These streams carry attractive margins, strengthen customer
retention, and generate recurring revenue that is less exposed to the
maize-price cycle than core milling.
