11.1 Skills Development & Job Creation
Elite Grooming Co. is committed to contributing positively to South Africa’s skills development agenda. Our barber apprenticeship programme will create a structured pathway for young South Africans to enter the formal economy with marketable, high-demand skills. Each apprentice completes a 12-month programme combining practical training, business skills, and customer service modules, culminating in a formally recognised qualification.
The business will create 9-12 direct jobs at launch, with each franchise expansion creating an additional 8-10 positions. By Year 5, the total direct and indirect employment contribution is projected at 50+ individuals.
11.2 B-BBEE Scorecard Strategy
Our B-BBEE strategy targets a Level 2 contributor status through intentional planning across all scorecard elements:

Ownership: Minimum 30% black ownership through the founding team and strategic investor allocation

Management Control: Black representation in 50%+ of senior management positions

Skills Development: Annual skills development spend of 3%+ of payroll, focused on apprenticeship and continuing education

11.3 Environmental Sustainability
Environmental consciousness is embedded in our operational model through water-efficient wash stations, energy-efficient LED lighting, solar panel installation (Phase 2), recyclable and biodegradable product packaging, and partnerships with product brands committed to cruelty-free and sustainably sourced ingredients.
