Company Overview

2.1 Legal Structure and Registration

SparkClean Laundry & Dry-Cleaning Services (Pty) Ltd is a private company incorporated under the Companies Act 71 of 2008 in South Africa. The Company is registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and holds a valid tax clearance certificate issued by the South African Revenue Service (SARS). All operations comply with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and applicable municipal by-laws governing commercial laundry operations in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality.

2.2 Business Description

SparkClean provides end-to-end laundry and dry-cleaning solutions through a centralised processing hub model with fleet-based collection and delivery. The Company’s core service lines include:

Residential laundry services: collection, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and same-day or next-day delivery to households and apartment complexes
Corporate laundry contracts: scheduled pickup and delivery of uniforms, linens, and workwear for offices, hotels, guest houses, and restaurants
Dry-cleaning services: professional garment care for suits, formal wear, uniforms, curtains, and delicate fabrics, including stain removal and garment restoration
Subscription plans: weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly packages providing predictable, discounted pricing for regular clients
On-demand emergency service: same-day express turnaround for urgent laundry and dry-cleaning requirements

2.3 Registered Address and Operating Location

The Company’s central processing hub will be located in an industrial park in the Johannesburg South / Booysens area, selected for its central positioning, accessibility to major arterial routes (M1, M2, N1, N12), and proximity to both residential suburbs and commercial districts. The facility will comprise approximately 400m² of operational floor space, including washing and drying zones, dry-cleaning stations, ironing and finishing areas, quality control, and a dispatch/receiving bay.

2.4 B-BBEE Compliance

SparkClean is committed to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and is structured to achieve a Level 2 B-BBEE contributor status. The ownership structure ensures that more than 51% of equity is held by Black South African citizens, in compliance with the Codes of Good Practice. The Company’s B-BBEE strategy encompasses ownership, management control, skills development, enterprise and supplier development, and socio-economic development contributions.
