2.5 Legal Structure and Regulatory Framework
ProNutri Dairy will be incorporated as a private company under the Companies Act 71 of 2008. The Company will comply with all applicable regulatory requirements including the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act (Act 54 of 1972), the Agricultural Product Standards Act (Act 119 of 1990), the Dairy Industry Act (as applicable), and the requirements of the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD). The facility will obtain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification and target ISO 22000 food safety management accreditation.
