The organisational structure, the staffing plan and the transformation and B-BBEE approach underpinning Karoo Rabbit Protein.
Execution risk in an integrated agri-industrial venture is
concentrated in management depth across several disciplines
simultaneously — animal science, processing and food safety,
supply-chain and cold-chain logistics, brand and sales, and finance.
KRP’s organisational design reflects this.
10.1 Organisational Structure
The Company is led by a chief executive supported by functional heads
aligned to the four divisions and the core support functions:

10.2 Staffing Plan
Headcount and the staff cost base scale with operations, from the
core commissioning team in Year 1 to a full operating complement by Year
5. The staff cost line grows from R10.0 million to R30.4 million over
the plan, consistent with the production and revenue ramp.
10.3 Transformation & B-BBEE
Broad-based black economic empowerment is integral, not peripheral,
to the KRP model. The contract-grower network is a direct vehicle for
enterprise and supplier development and for inclusion of black
smallholder and emerging farmers, while equity, procurement and
skills-development structures are designed to support a strong B-BBEE
profile. This both meets the mandate expectations of development-finance
investors and strengthens KRP’s standing with retail and institutional
customers.
