The operating model, the management team, the governance and the reliability, certification and SLAs underpinning AetherGrid.
7.1 Operating model
AetherGrid operates its campuses to a 24/7/365 mission-critical
standard, with availability the core product. A central network
operations centre monitors power, cooling, security and connectivity
across all sites; standardised operating procedures, preventive
maintenance and change-management disciplines protect uptime; and each
campus is staffed with facility, security and remote-hands teams.
Certification to ISO 9001, 27001, 50001, 14001 and 45001, PCI-DSS and
ISAE 3402 — the standards the incumbent holds, is targeted from first
operation, as these are prerequisites for hyperscale and
financial-services tenants.

The executive team is supported by heads of development,
power/energy, security and asset management, and by an independent board
and investment committee with infrastructure-fund and DFI representation
post-investment. Building this specialist capability ahead of Project
Atlas financial close is itself a gating activity in the roadmap.
7.3 Governance
- Board & investment committee. Independent
chair; sponsor, strategic-investor, infrastructure-fund and DFI
representation; formal approval of each campus SPV at financial close
against power, tenant and construction gates. - Milestone-gated capital. Equity and debt release
against certified land, power, pre-leasing and construction milestones,
no major capital ahead of secured grid connection. - Risk & audit. Board risk committee owning
the risk register (Section 11); external audit; treasury policy
governing FX (imported equipment) and interest-rate exposure. - ESG oversight. Board-level sustainability
governance tracking renewable penetration, PUE, water and B-BBEE,
aligned to DFI and tenant requirements.
7.4 Reliability, certification and SLAs
In a mission-critical business the product is uptime, and uptime is
sold through service-level agreements underwritten by design redundancy
and certification. AetherGrid targets Tier III/IV design (concurrently
maintainable to fault-tolerant), N+1 or 2N redundancy on power and
cooling, and 99.99–99.995% availability SLAs consistent with
financial-services and public-sector requirements. The certification
roadmap mirrors the standards the market leader holds, because they are
procurement prerequisites for hyperscale and BFSI tenants.

SLA credits and liquidated damages for downtime make reliability a
direct financial matter, which is why redundancy, captive power and
rigorous operating discipline are not cost centres but the core of the
value proposition. The N+1 electrical design, dual utility feeds, UPS
and battery systems, and captive-renewable strategy together target the
availability that anchors premium pricing.
