  • Compostable packaging: All takeaway cups, lids, and food containers will be compostable or biodegradable

  • Waste reduction: Food waste minimisation through demand forecasting, smaller batch production, and end-of-day donation partnerships with local charities

  • Recycling: Comprehensive separation of recyclable waste streams (glass, paper, plastic, organic)

  • Energy efficiency: LED lighting, energy-efficient appliances, and solar PV installation planned for Year 3

  • Water conservation: Low-flow fixtures, water-efficient dishwashing, and responsible use of water in coffee preparation

  • Coffee grounds recycling: Used coffee grounds offered to local gardens and composting operations
