6.1 Food Safety & Quality Regulations

StratDairy’s operations will comply with the full spectrum of South African food safety legislation, including the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act (Act 54 of 1972), the Agricultural Product Standards Act (Act 119 of 1990), and the Dairy Industry regulations administered by the Dairy Standard Agency (DSA). The Company’s quality management system will be designed to meet the requirements of HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 certification standards.

All product formulations will comply with the Department of Health’s labelling regulations (R.146) and the forthcoming front-of-pack nutrition labelling requirements. The Company’s dedicated Quality Assurance Manager will oversee compliance monitoring, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.

6.2 B-BBEE Compliance

StratDairy is committed to achieving a minimum Level 2 B-BBEE contributor status within three years of operations. The Company’s B-BBEE strategy addresses all five elements of the revised Agri-BEE Sector Code:

6.3 Environmental Compliance

The facility will comply with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) and the National Water Act. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) basic assessment process will be completed during the permitting phase. Key environmental management commitments include wastewater treatment (dairy effluent), energy efficiency measures, and a waste minimisation plan targeting zero waste to landfill by Year 5.
