10.1 Business Registration and Licensing
The Blade Lounge will be registered as a Private Company (Pty) Ltd with CIPC at a registration fee of R175. Name reservation will be filed at R50, with four proposed names submitted for approval. Upon registration, the company will receive its CoR14.3 registration certificate and unique company number. The Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI) will be filed using a standard template, customised only to reflect the specific shareholding structure.

10.2 Employment Law Compliance
The Blade Lounge will comply fully with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Labour Relations Act, and all sectoral determinations applicable to the hairdressing and beauty sector. Employment contracts will be drafted in consultation with a labour attorney and will cover working hours, leave entitlements, disciplinary procedures, and restraint of trade clauses. The company will register with the relevant bargaining council (if applicable) and maintain up-to-date COIDA coverage for workplace injury protection.
10.3 Health, Safety, and Hygiene
Barber shops in South Africa must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and relevant municipal by-laws. The Blade Lounge will maintain a comprehensive hygiene protocol including: sterilisation of all cutting instruments between clients, use of fresh disposable neck strips and capes, hand sanitiser stations at all work stations, regular deep cleaning and pest control, proper ventilation, and compliance with waste disposal regulations for biological materials.
