9.2 Grid Code Compliance

The project will comply fully with the South African Grid Code for
Renewable Power Plants (RPP), including voltage and frequency
ride-through requirements, reactive power capability, power quality
standards, protection coordination, and SCADA/telecommunications
interface specifications. Grid code compliance will be demonstrated
through a formal grid connection compliance assessment conducted by an
independent technical expert and verified through on-site commissioning
tests before commercial operation date.

9.3 B-BBEE and Local
Content Requirements

The project’s B-BBEE ownership structure targets Level 2 compliance,
incorporating a minimum 30% Black ownership through a combination of
direct equity participation by Black industrialists and a community
trust holding shares on behalf of local beneficiaries within a
50-kilometre radius of the project site. The REIPPPP’s local content
requirements, raised to 45% under BW8, will be met through procurement
of locally manufactured balance-of-system components, engagement of
local construction contractors, and prioritisation of South African
engineering and professional services.
