12.3 Critical Path Items
The critical path for the project runs through funding approval, lease execution, and store fit-out. Any delays in securing financing will cascade through the entire timeline. To mitigate this risk, the project plan includes parallel processing of funding applications to multiple lenders and a contingency timeline that accommodates a 4-week delay in funding without impacting the target opening date. The lease negotiation is the second most time-sensitive element, as fit-out works cannot commence until the lease is executed and landlord consent for alterations is obtained.
