KarooPrime Capretto presents a rare combination: a commercially
compelling, well-structured investment and a genuinely transformative
development opportunity. It addresses a real, supply-constrained market
by formalising an under-commercialised value chain that already exists;
it is built on a proven aggregation template; and it is modelled on
deliberately conservative assumptions that still deliver attractive,
resilient returns.
On the base case the platform reaches R1,150m of revenue and R230m of
EBITDA by Year 7, generating a project IRR of 35.5% and an NPV of R367m.
Even under a stressed import-parity feed-cost scenario the project
returns approximately 19.8% and remains value-accretive. Alongside these
returns, the business creates thousands of rural jobs and brings
thousands of smallholder farmers into the formal economy.
