10.2 Insurance Programme
The Company will maintain comprehensive insurance coverage as follows: multi-peril livestock insurance covering disease, natural disaster and accidental death (sum insured based on flock replacement value); commercial property insurance for all buildings, fixed equipment and inventory; motor vehicle comprehensive insurance for delivery fleet; business interruption insurance with a 12-month indemnity period; public liability and product liability insurance (minimum R10 million cover); and directors’ and officers’ liability insurance. Total estimated annual insurance premium: R48,000 (Year 1), escalating at 5.5% per annum.
