5.1 Platform Architecture

The technology platform will be built on a cloud-native microservices architecture deployed on AWS and/or Azure with South African data residency for POPIA compliance. Core components include a React/Next.js responsive web application, native iOS and Android mobile apps using React Native, RESTful API layer with GraphQL, Node.js and Python microservices backend, PostgreSQL with Redis caching and Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka for event streaming, and ML pipelines for recommendations, search ranking, fraud detection, and dynamic pricing.

5.3 Data & Privacy
