11.1 Phase 1: Foundation (Months 0–4)

  • Company registration, legal structuring, shareholder agreements, and regulatory filings.

  • Facility lease negotiation and execution. Architectural planning, building permit applications, and factory fit-out commencement.

  • Equipment procurement with international and local suppliers. Lead times of 12–16 weeks for injection moulding and CNC equipment.

  • Phase 1 recruitment: Operations Director, key production supervisors, and initial production team.

11.2 Phase 2: Build-Out (Months 4–9)

  • Equipment installation, commissioning, and operator training.

  • Raw material sourcing agreements finalised and initial inventory secured.

  • Quality certification processes initiated with SABS and NRCS.

  • Pilot production runs: 5,000–10,000 pairs for quality validation, wear testing, and process optimisation.

  • Marketing and brand launch activities: brand identity, packaging, website, social media presence.

  • Sales channel development: retail buyer presentations, mining company introductions, tender registration.

  • Full commercial production commencing at Month 9 with target of 25,000 pairs per month (60% utilisation).

  • Progressive ramp-up to 80% utilisation by Month 18.

  • Phase 2 recruitment at Month 12 to support production scaling and expanded sales team.

  • E-commerce platform launch at Month 10 with Takealot integration.

  • Regional export market entry planning from Month 15 with target markets of Botswana and Namibia.

  • Capacity expansion feasibility assessment initiated at Month 18 for Phase 2 growth.
