14.1 Employment Creation

Titan Footwear will create 150 direct jobs within the first 12 months, growing to 250+ direct jobs by Year 5. The indirect employment multiplier effect in the footwear and leather value chain is estimated at 2.5x, supporting an additional 375–625 indirect jobs among suppliers, logistics providers, and service companies. The majority of direct employment positions will be accessible to semi-skilled workers, contributing meaningfully to youth employment in Gauteng.

14.3 Environmental Sustainability

Titan Footwear is committed to responsible manufacturing practices that minimise environmental impact while maintaining production efficiency. Key environmental initiatives include waste reduction targets (material yield >92%), water recycling systems for the tanning and cleaning processes, solar PV installation in Phase 2 (targeting 30% of energy from renewable sources), and responsible disposal of chemical waste through accredited waste management partners. The Company will pursue ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification within the first three years of operation.
