14.1 Job Creation

CAE will create 15 direct jobs in Year 1, growing to 35 by Year 3 and an estimated 50+ by Year 5. In addition, the business will support approximately 100 indirect jobs through transport providers, compliance engineers, port service operators, and ancillary service providers in the Gqeberha region.

14.2 Skills Development

The company will invest a minimum of 3% of annual payroll in skills development, targeting automotive compliance engineering, international trade, logistics management, and digital platform skills. CAE will partner with Nelson Mandela University and the AIDC Eastern Cape to offer internship and learnership programmes.

14.3 Environmental Commitment

• Carbon footprint measurement and annual reporting from Year 2

• Preference for low-emission shipping routes and fuel-efficient logistics providers

• Exploration of electric vehicle export opportunities as SA EV production scales

• Waste minimisation in compliance modification operations

• Water and energy efficiency measures at the Coega facility

14.4 Enterprise and Supplier Development

CAE will allocate 2% of net profit after tax to enterprise and supplier development initiatives, focusing on black-owned transport, logistics, and automotive service providers in the Eastern Cape region. This commitment aligns with both B-BBEE requirements and the company’s broader social impact objectives.
