The implementation plan spans 24 weeks (approximately 6 months) from project initiation to grand opening. The timeline has been structured to manage dependencies, minimise delay risk, and ensure that all critical-path activities are completed before the soft launch date. A 2-week soft launch period precedes the grand opening to allow for operational refinement under controlled conditions.

10.2 Phase Details & Milestones

Phase 1: Foundation (Weeks 1–8)

Business Registration & Legal (Weeks 1–4): CIPC
registration, shareholder agreements, bank account opening, tax
registrations (VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL), trademark application.
Site Selection & Lease (Weeks 3–8): Location
scouting, traffic counts, demographic analysis, lease negotiation, legal
review, lease execution.
Milestone: Signed lease agreement and all legal
entities established.

Phase 2: Development (Weeks 5–18)

Architectural Design (Weeks 5–8): Restaurant layout,
kitchen flow design, interior design concept, submission of building
plans to local authority.
Permits & Approvals (Weeks 7–10): Building
permits, health department approval, fire safety certificate, liquor
license application.
Construction & Fit-out (Weeks 9–18): Demolition
(if required), construction, plumbing, electrical, ventilation,
