Urban Grill Burgers will be incorporated as a private company (Pty) Ltd under the Companies Act No. 71 of 2008, registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC). The company will be registered for Value Added Tax (VAT) with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and will comply with all applicable labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), the Labour Relations Act (LRA), and the National Minimum Wage Act.

2.5 Ownership & Management Structure

The founding team brings a combined 35 years of experience across food service operations, hospitality management, brand development, and corporate finance. The company will be governed by a board of directors comprising the founding shareholders and one independent non-executive director with relevant industry expertise. Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) compliance will be achieved through a combination of ownership, management control, skills development, enterprise development, and socio-economic development initiatives, targeting a minimum Level 4 B-BBEE contributor status within 24 months of launch.
