Products, Services & Value Proposition

The product portfolio across compound feed, concentrates, premixes and specialty nutrition, the technical-services offering and the AgriFeed value proposition.

6.1 Product Architecture

AgriFeed will manufacture a comprehensive portfolio of compound feeds
across the four major species categories — poultry, ruminants, pigs, and
aquaculture — segmented by life-stage and production system. The Phase 1
product catalogue covers 47 SKUs at launch, expanding to 78 SKUs by Year
3 as aquaculture and specialty feeds are added. Mill design enables both
pelleted (3–6 mm), crumbled (broiler starter), and mash (layer) formats
with rapid changeovers between SKUs to maximise throughput.

Category Sub-segment Format Key Specification
Poultry — Broiler Starter / Grower / Finisher Crumble / Pellet 3 mm ME 12.6–13.4 MJ/kg; CP 18–22%
Poultry — Layer Pre-lay / Layer Phase 1, 2, 3 Mash / Pellet Ca 3.8–4.4%; ME 11.4 MJ/kg
Poultry — Breeder Parent stock; rooster Pellet / Mash Custom amino acid balancing
Ruminants — Dairy Dry / High / Mid / Low yield Pellet 6 mm ME 11.5–12.2 MJ/kg; CP 16–19%
Ruminants — Beef/Feedlot Backgrounder; Finisher Pellet 6 mm; Meal TDN 70–82%
Ruminants — Sheep / Goat Lamb starter; ewe lactation Pellet 4 mm Specific calcium & sulphur balance
Pigs Creep / Grower / Sow lactation Pellet 3 mm Lysine-balanced; phytase-rich
Aquaculture (Y3+) Tilapia; trout; catfish Floating / sinking pellet 32–40% CP; high-density pellet
Concentrates & Premix Macros + micros for on-farm mix Mash 50/100 kg Custom premix to spec

6.2 Value Proposition

AgriFeed’s value proposition is built on three concrete and
measurable promises to the customer.

1. Better birds and animals. AgriFeed’s technical
platform targets a broiler feed-conversion ratio (FCR) of 1.55 kg feed
per kg gain at 35 days, materially better than the South African
industry average of approximately 1.65, delivering customers a typical
4–7% reduction in feed cost per kilogram of meat produced.

2. Consistency and traceability. Every batch is
traceable end-to-end via a digital batch passport linked to ingredient
lot numbers, mill sensor data, lab quality results, and load dispatch
records. Bagged-product retail customers can scan a QR code to view the
formulation date, key analytical parameters, and best-before.

3. Productivity, not just product. Each commercial
customer receives access to a dedicated Technical Advisor who conducts
quarterly on-farm performance audits, ration reviews, and access to the
AgriFeed digital benchmarking tool that compares their FCR, growth rate,
and mortality against an anonymised peer cohort.

6.3 Service Layer

  • On-farm feed trials — controlled comparative trials measuring
growth, FCR, mortality, and economic impact, typically 4–8
    weeks.
  • Bespoke ration design — for customers above 2,000 t/yr, fully
customised rations using the customer’s own raw-material sources where
    attractive.
  • Quality assurance lab access — at-cost analytical lab access for
customers needing pre-mix, ingredient, or finished-product
    testing.
  • AgriFeed Grow — emerging-farmer training, bagged-feed discounts,
    and micro-credit facilitation (Section 5).
  • Digital dashboards — customer-facing data on consumption,
    delivery cycle, and animal performance.
