Technology & Manufacturing Systems
The core technology stack and the automation and efficiency underpinning GrainCore’s manufacturing systems.
GrainCore’s cost and quality advantage depends on deploying
current-generation “smart milling” technology from inception, avoiding
the legacy-equipment burden carried by some incumbents.
10.1 Core Technology Stack
- Automated roller mills with programmable logic control for
consistent extraction and minimal downtime. - Optical grain sorting to remove foreign matter and defective
kernels, improving yield and food safety. - Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for end-to-end
quality data — the reference operator deployed TransLution LIMS across
its mills to improve quality management and production control. - ERP-integrated production systems linking procurement,
production, inventory, and finance in real time. - Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for stock accuracy and
dispatch efficiency.
10.2 Automation & Efficiency
Modern automation reduces labour cost per tonne, tightens quality
tolerances, and enables the high utilisation rates on which the
financial model depends. Real-time production analytics will allow
management to benchmark unit costs continuously and identify
debottlenecking opportunities ahead of the Phase 3 expansion.
