Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy

The positioning, the channel strategy, the pricing strategy and the customer concentration and diversification underpinning the go-to-market plan.

8.1 Positioning

Kalahari Crown Exports will position its produce as sustainable,
traceable, export-grade and premium African fruit. Brand equity will be
built on consistent quality, reliable year-round supply, sustainability
credentials and a compelling provenance narrative — the Orange River and
Cape terroir.

8.2 Channel Strategy

  • Premium retail programmes: structured supply
agreements with leading European and UK supermarket chains.
  • Distributor partnerships: established importers
in the Middle East, Asia and emerging markets.
  • Direct & e-commerce premium: selective
direct and online-retail channels for branded premium lines,
    particularly grapes and cherries.
  • Regional & local: Southern African markets
for watermelons, secondary grades and fast-cycle cash crops.

8.3 Pricing Strategy

Pricing is anchored to premium export realisations, with the Company
capturing packing, cooling and marketing margin that growers selling
through third parties typically forfeit. Conservative real price
escalation of approximately 5.5% per year is assumed across the plan,
reflecting a blend of inflation, currency drift and a modest
premium-positioning uplift. Out-grades are monetised through the
processing division rather than discounted into the fresh market.

8.4 Customer Concentration & Diversification

To avoid over-dependence on any single market or buyer, the Company
targets a balanced destination mix anchored in the EU and UK while
deliberately growing Asia and the Middle East. This diversification is
both a commercial and a risk-management imperative given tariff and
phytosanitary volatility in individual markets.
