The founding team combines over 20 years of restaurant management and hospitality entrepreneurship (Founder & CEO), restaurant operations, food-quality systems and customer experience (Executive Director, Operations), franchise development, property expansion and strategic partnerships (Commercial Director), and corporate finance, governance and capital raising (Independent Non-Executive Director). The team holds 100% of equity at the outset, aligning management and ownership, and the mix of operations, franchising, property and finance skills maps directly onto an integrated, multi-unit, franchise-led hospitality business.
The long-term ambition
The long-term strategy is to build a high-value hospitality group with a network of more than 100 restaurants across Southern Africa through a mix of company-owned and franchised locations. Additional growth opportunities include premium retail food products, branded sauces and seasonings, corporate catering and international franchise expansion. The targeted exit is a strategic acquisition by a leading restaurant group, or a public listing on the JSE, within eight to ten years. The R220 million sought here funds the foundational platform.
