ESG & Development Impact
The financial-inclusion, circular-economy, social, environmental and governance contribution and the development impact underpinning ReclaimHub.
ReclaimHub’s development impact is intrinsic to its business model
rather than bolted on — which is what makes it fundable by development
finance institutions such as the DBSA and IDC.
- Circular economy: extends product lifecycles and
diverts significant e-waste from landfill through refurbishment and
resale. - Financial inclusion: provides regulated,
transparent, over-collateralised secured credit to a population largely
excluded from mainstream unsecured lending. - Employment: creates direct retail, refurbishment
and lending jobs and supports indirect employment through franchising
and the informal intake supply chain. - Affordability: widens access to affordable
electronics, tools and appliances for low- and middle-income
households. - Formalisation: brings informal pawn and resale
activity into a compliant, consumer-protected framework.
