3.2 Management Team Profiles
Willem Vermeulen – Managing Director
Mr Vermeulen holds a BSc Agriculture (Stellenbosch) and has over 25 years of experience in commercial crop farming in Limpopo Province, with particular expertise in subtropical crop cultivation, irrigation management, and farm-level supply chain logistics. He has successfully managed farming operations exceeding 400 hectares and brings deep relationships with agricultural input suppliers, extension officers, and land management authorities in the Tzaneen area.
Zanele Nkosi – Commercial Director
Ms Nkosi holds an MBA (University of Pretoria) with specialisation in agribusiness and has over 12 years of experience in agricultural commodity trading and supply chain management. She has worked with several emerging farmer cooperatives and has established networks with textile manufacturers, food processing companies, and export facilitators. Ms Nkosi will also serve as the designated B-BBEE equity partner, contributing to the Company’s empowerment credentials.
Imran Patel – Financial Director
Mr Patel is a qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA), registered with SAICA, with over 15 years of post-articles experience in corporate finance, audit, and agricultural business advisory. He has led financial structuring for multiple agribusiness ventures and has established relationships with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), Land Bank, and commercial banking institutions.
3.3 Corporate Governance
The Company will establish governance structures aligned with the King IV Report on Corporate Governance. An independent non-executive chairperson will be appointed, and the board will include at least one independent non-executive director with relevant industry expertise. Board sub-committees for Audit and Risk, Remuneration, and Social and Ethics will be constituted within the first year of operations.
