Production Model

The Company will employ modern commercial agricultural practices adapted for hemp cultivation in the Limpopo subtropical zone. The production cycle follows a structured annual calendar:

Phased Expansion
50 → 500 ha

Scaling from an initial 50 hectares of industrial hemp to 500 hectares by Year 5 across fibre, hurd and seed value streams.

10.1 Cultivation Methodology

The Company will employ modern commercial agricultural practices adapted for hemp cultivation in the Limpopo subtropical zone. The production cycle follows a structured annual calendar:

  • Soil Preparation (August–September): Deep ploughing, soil testing, amendment application (lime, organic compost), and seedbed preparation.

  • Planting (October–November): Direct seeding using precision agricultural equipment at a density of 200–250 plants per square metre (for fibre) or 35–50 plants per square metre (for seed/dual purpose).

  • Crop Management (November–February): Irrigation management, integrated pest management, weed control, and crop monitoring.

  • Harvesting (February–April): Mechanical harvesting using adapted forage harvesters and cutting equipment. Fibre crops harvested at early flowering; seed crops at maturity.

  • Post-Harvest Processing (March–June): Field retting (fibre), mechanical decortication, seed cleaning, oil extraction, and biomass baling.
