The food-security and smallholder-inclusion impact is intrinsic to
the model, not an add-on: every contract farmer onboarded is a small
enterprise given access to formal markets, and every tonne of affordable
chicken supports household nutrition. This alignment is what makes
CluckCore fundable by the IDC, DBSA and impact investors, the
developmental return is the commercial model
viewed from another angle, and it lowers the blended cost of capital in
a thin-margin business where that matters.
