Target Market & Customer Segmentation
The target market and the customer segmentation underpinning Nexora’s SME platform.
Nexora targets six primary SME segments selected for data-richness
(digital payment footprints that feed the underwriting engine),
working-capital intensity (structural demand for the core product) and
diversification across economic cycles:
| Segment | Profile | Primary products | Share of FY2031 book |
|---|---|---|---|
| Retail SMEs | Independent and franchise retailers with POS data | FlexFund, Pay | 24% |
| E-commerce sellers | Online merchants on Shopify/WooCommerce/marketplaces | FlexFund, Invoice+ | 16% |
| Logistics & transport | Fleet operators, last-mile and freight SMEs | Advance, asset finance | 14% |
| Manufacturers | Working-capital-intensive light manufacturing | Invoice+, Trade | 16% |
| Hospitality | Restaurants, guest houses, hotels | FlexFund, Pay | 12% |
| Contractors | Procurement-driven construction & services businesses | Procurement finance | 18% |
Concentration limits are embedded in warehouse eligibility criteria:
no single segment above 25% of the book, no single obligor above 1% and
no single offtaker (for procurement finance) above 5%. Geographically,
Phase 1 concentrates on Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal,
which together account for roughly two-thirds of formal SME turnover,
before national and regional broadening.
