Company Overview, Vision & Values

The Pie Foundry (Pty) Ltd is a private company to be incorporated under the Companies Act 71 of 2008, headquartered in Gauteng, operating an integrated food ecosystem: a central manufacturing facility, company-owned retail outlets, franchise stores, drive-through locations, corporate catering, online ordering, frozen retail products, wholesale distribution, delivery partnerships and coffee shops. This diversified structure creates multiple revenue streams while strengthening economies of scale.

Vision and mission

The vision is to become Africa’s most admired premium bakery and pie company by delivering exceptional convenience food through innovation, craftsmanship and operational excellence. The mission is to transform the traditional pie into a premium everyday meal by combining artisan baking techniques, high-quality ingredients, efficient manufacturing and outstanding customer service.

The founding team combines food-manufacturing and franchising experience (Executive Chairman), fifteen years of food-retail and customer-experience leadership (CEO), industrial-bakery and supply-chain engineering (Operations Director), and brand, digital-commerce and franchise expertise (Commercial Director). The team holds 100% of equity at the outset, aligning management and ownership.

The long-term ambition

Over the next decade the Company aims to operate more than 250 franchised and company-owned outlets across Southern Africa, develop three regional manufacturing facilities, supply frozen products to major supermarket chains, and achieve annual revenues in excess of R2 billion, supported by a diversified, asset-light franchise network and a highly efficient manufacturing platform.
